16 June 2025<\/strong> \u2013 Indie developer Madsox Games<\/strong> has released Exit 8-bit<\/strong>, a fan-made demake of the cult 3D puzzle game Exit 8<\/em>, bringing its surreal looping corridors to the iconic Nintendo Game Boy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built in GB Studio<\/strong>, Exit 8-bit<\/em> preserves the mechanical soul of Exit 8<\/em> while offering a stripped-back, pixel-art experience suited to the 1990s handheld era. It runs on real Game Boy hardware and emulators, and is available now as a free download<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While omitting the horror elements of the original to make the game more accessible, Exit 8-bit<\/em> keeps the core gameplay intact, carefully observing subtle environmental details to find the correct exit, while embracing the visual and technical limitations of 8-bit hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
